Looking back, what stands out to me, is the on-going training, support and guidance that I received. Such supports include regular mental health check ins, career progression opportunities, monthly entertainment events, and an enthusiastic team who supported me throughout my internship. I particularly enjoyed the opportunity that all team members are given to complete a workshop in positive leadership, as this is an important skill that will serve as extremely beneficial throughout my career.

The work we do for these clients are extremely varied and include a good mix of property law transactions, litigation, commercial law transactions and personal injury claims. I completed many exciting tasks throughout my internship with the firm, whereby I developed and built on my communication, research, IT, listening and leadership skills.
I also was taken aback by the number of charity events that the firm continue to support, including their annual sleep out for the homeless, which the team will be participating in again on October 14th.
Finally, I worked with enthusiastic, determined, motivated and bubbly personalities, which really enriched my experience. The success of any company is down to its team and the team at McKenna & Co Solicitors are committed, optimistic, and supportive characters who guided and supported me throughout my internship journey. Lisa is the principal Solicitor at the firm and is a truly admirable and inspiring woman to any young person looking to establish a career in law.
